My story

I hold a Diploma in Counselling, a Diploma of Professional Writing (Creative Writing), and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work. I actively volunteer at my local primary school, assisting with English, and I also serve as a Youth Worker for an online organization. My background blends strong literacy skills with a deep understanding of how to support young people in a positive and encouraging manner.
Embracing the uniqueness of every student's learning journey, my experiences volunteering with primary school students and being a parent to a neurodiverse child have provided me with profound insights into the challenges faced in the classroom.
My unique perspective, combined with experience supporting vulnerable individuals as a support worker in the AOD and mental health sectors, enables me to foster an empathetic approach. This approach is essential in building trust and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment for all.
Moreover, the essential collaboration between parents and educators cannot be underestimated. By promoting open communication and ensuring that everyone’s voice is acknowledged, I can create customized strategies that cater to diverse learning needs. This partnership is crucial for paving the way to long-term success both in the classroom and beyond.
